Artists
Peter Layton
Peter Layton produces individual pieces of decorative glass in sculptural and functional forms.
The work is free blown, permitting a greater degree of involvement and attention to detail than is possible on standardised production and ensuring the individuality of each piece. Each piece is unique and signed by the artist.
Bob Crooks
Bob Crooks is one of Britain’s most highly recognisable glass blowers.
Renown for the high quality, skilfully executed dynamic forms and surfaces, he is continuously thinking of original and challenging ideas. Each piece is designed, handmade and finished by Bob. No moulds are used to create the forms or surfaces achieved. Each piece is unique and signed.
Louis Thompson
Louis Thompson is a leading figure in cutting edge design and creative solutions in hot glass. Thompson works to a strong visual aesthetic combining elegance with simplicity and making with quality.
He is an advocate for innovation and presents a modern and contemporary approach to the material. He makes challenging objects that inspire the visual eye.
Layne Rowe
Many of his pieces are a synthesis of techniques intended for a harmonious resolution.
Created from a complex multi-coloured blank, overlaid with transparent and opaque layers with clear glass, these are carved to create a textured surface exposing strata and veins, as demonstrated in his 'Scarify' series.
