The work is free blown, permitting a greater degree of involvement and attention to detail than is possible on standardised production and ensuring the individuality of each piece. Each piece is unique and signed by the artist.
Bruce Marks
Africa has been a major inspiration on the evolution of Bruce Marks glass work.
He concentrates on colour & surface texture. Bruce Marks creates glass designs that capture the light and allow it to illuminate the piece. The surfaces and colours are an echo of South Africa.

Created from a complex multi-coloured blank, overlaid with transparent and opaque layers with clear glass, these are carved to create a textured surface exposing strata and veins, as demonstrated in his 'Scarify' series.
